Virtual Acute Care Registered Nurse - Per Diem

The Virtual Acute Care Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care for patients in an acute care environment utilizing telecommunication technology. This role is ideal for nurses who value collaboration and patient-centered care while working remotely.

• Pay: $40 - $54/hour
• Location: Big Flats, NY
• Schedule: Per Diem

• Provide virtual support to bedside nurses at Guthrie Hospital inpatient acute care units.
• Collaborate with bedside nurses to deliver coordinated, safe, and compassionate care.
• Utilize clinical assessment skills to monitor patients effectively using telecommunication technology.
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care by partnering in care planning.
• Foster a learning environment for patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Manage assignments of complex patients and respond to urgent situations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and promote evidence-based practice.
• Demonstrate leadership in practice settings and contribute to the knowledge of onsite nurses.

Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.

Experience: 5 years of experience in acute care bedside nursing.

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Registered Nurse licensed in New York and Pennsylvania.
• Current BLS / ACLS required within 6 months.
• Specialty Certification preferred within 1 year.
