Position:
Research Associate Positions at Institute of Molecular Biology (IMB), Academia Sinica – Starting October 2025 I am seeking 1–2 highly motivated B.S. or M.S.
-level research associates to join my lab. Successful candidates will have opportunities to co‑author publications and are encouraged to lead independent research projects. Based on performance, there will be opportunities to attend international conferences and visit collaborating labs in the U.S. or Canada. I am committed to supporting career development and mentorship for all team members.
- Perform basic molecular biology experiments: PCR, molecular cloning, DNA and RNA extraction, sequencing.
- Assist with lab management: media preparation, ordering supplies, and equipment maintenance.
- Take initiative to lead or contribute to research projects.
- Present work in lab meetings and provide weekly updates.
- Applicants must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree (biology, computational biology, or a related field).
- Positive, adaptable, and self‑motivated attitude.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Patience and enthusiasm for learning new experimental skills.
- Prior experience in molecular cloning or basic programming (bash, R, Python, or Perl) is highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Careful data documentation and record‑keeping.
- Highly responsible and detail‑oriented.
- Applicants with non‑biology backgrounds or low GPAs are welcome if strongly motivated and passionate about biology.
- Applicants from historically marginalized or disadvantaged backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Same as Academia Sinica’s regulations. - Work place:
Institute of Molecular Biology, Academia Sinica. - Salary: NTD 44,968 for candidates with a master’s degree and NTD 38,388 for those with a bachelor’s degree.
