Server - Beer and Wine – Cinemark

Join Cinemark’s team and bring the movie‑going experience to life. We’re looking for an energetic and friendly Server to guide guests through our beer and wine selection, provide exceptional service, and keep our theater vibrant.

Role Summary

As a Server – Beer and Wine you will guide guests to order food and beverages, greet them with engaging interaction, and deliver quick, timely counter service. The role connects guests and kitchen staff and may involve cross‑training as a restaurant worker, concessionist, box office cashier, or usher.

Responsibilities
  • Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner.
  • Possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast‑paced environment to enhance the guest experience.
  • Accurately record food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner.
  • Manage all transactions on assigned register (proper cash balance, ticket distribution, logging off, reporting concerns, etc.).
  • Verify identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions.
  • Ensure alcohol is consumed in designated areas only.
  • Use suggestive selling techniques consistently.
  • Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure food orders are accurate.
  • Consistently wipe down and sanitize employee and guest high‑contact areas.
  • Properly utilize personal protective equipment while completing position‑specific tasks.
  • Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks.
  • Monitor safety and security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.) and report to management.
  • Perform other work‑related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Proof of age (18 for serving alcohol; 21 in some states).
  • Complete basic food handling training and obtain any local or state‑mandated certification, health card, or food handler’s permit where required.
  • Complete a Safe Alcohol Service training program.
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Regular and consistent attendance required.
  • Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift.
  • Provide excellent guest service.
  • Accurate cash handling and basic math skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with all ages, genders, and personalities; effective English conversation.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Ability to take and follow direction.
  • Respond with a sense of urgency.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theater.
  • Noise level may be moderate to high at times.
  • Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods.
