- Requirement: Line cook experience required.
- Pay Range: $22.00–$28.00 per hour.
Point Seven, located in mid‑town Manhattan, is a cutting‑edge, coastal‑seafood driven restaurant inspired by the 70 percent of the world covered by water and led by award‑winning chef and co‑owner Franklin Becker. The restaurant celebrates global coastal cuisines through refined techniques, exceptional sourcing, and a deep respect for the world’s oceans.
What you’ll do:- Display a working knowledge of all ingredients and preparations used on the menu.
- Ensure station mise en place is prepped, seasoned, and stocked throughout service; keep the station clean and organized.
- Participate in a professionally run service period, ensuring excellence in cooking, timing, plate assembly, and communication.
- Learn the craft of classic French cuisine through a modern lens.
- Promote teamwork and excellence among the kitchen team.
- Demonstrate an eagerness to refine techniques and a desire to continually learn and grow.

Job SummaryPrepares food to ensure it is nutritious and properly flavored in accordance with applicable standards, guidelines and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- May oversee cooking activities of food service associates as directed by the Food Service Director.
- Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes.
- Operate and clean equipment after each use; perform scheduled routine cleaning.
- Store, label and date food items according to policy; maintain organized storage of dry and refrigerated products.
- Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of the food supply.
- Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations.
- Assist the Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and completing all required documentation.
- Assist in the cross‑training of employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Use medium‑weight cut gloves when handling knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or cleaning slicers.
- Use oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers or steampacks.
