Pay: $16.00 - $18.31 / hour

Elderwood Village at Greece is seeking a part-time dishwasher/server to join our team. Variable schedule, up to 18 hours per week, every other weekend required.

Dishwasher team members assist with ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by being responsible for dish room tasks of clearing, soaking, scraping, washing, air drying, and putting away of china and utensils used in serving and preparation of food. This individual also assists with daily cleaning duties of the food production areas and sanitation duties. Responsible for providing meal service to residents in a courteous and efficient manner.

Duties include taking food orders, delivering meals, assisting residents with dining needs, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, and ensuring meals are served in accordance with dietary requirements and safety standards.

• Carries out the clearing, scraping and putting of dishes and utensils in dish machine, and the emptying of dish machine and putting away of dishes after being air dried.
• Cleans dish machine, sinks and counters; removes all garbage from work area and kitchen.
• Keeps work area equipment clean and in good condition.
• Disposes garbage properly in the receptacle located outside of building.
• Mops floors in work area after each meal.
• Follows daily cleaning lists.
• Assist residents with menu selections and ensure meals are served according to dietary needs and preferences.
• Provide friendly, attentive service while fostering a positive dining experience for residents.
• Set up, clean, and maintain dining areas to meet health and safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with dietary staff to ensure timely and accurate meal delivery.
• Helps clear dining room tables when needed.
• Helps with receiving/storing of food deliveries.
• Replenishes soap for sinks and detergent for dish machine as needed.
• Attends facility meetings, staff meetings, and required or preferred in-services.
• Performs all position duties according to safety rules and standards of practice required for this position, and as required to ensure the general safety of staff, residents and visitors of this facility.
• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of all policies and procedures and ability to reference them.
• Utilizes electronic timekeeping system as directed.
• Arrives to work on time, regularly, and works as scheduled.
• Recognizes and follows the dress code of the facility including wearing name tag at all times.
• Follows policy and procedure regarding all electronic devices, computers, tablets, etc.
• Supports and abides by Elderwood's Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Abides by Elderwood's businesses code of conduct, compliance and HIPAA policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor, management staff or Administrator.

• Minimum of 16 years of age
• Employment Certificate/Permit required for applicable individuals
• Prior customer service experience
• Serv Safe certification or willingness to obtain
• Physical stamina necessary for constant activity
• HS diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior food service, hospitality, serving, or restaurant experience desired
• This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
