We are seeking a driven Sales Development Representative to join our central inside sales team at HID’s business area Identification Technologies (IDT). The role is based out of Rochester, NY (US) with a primary focus on top-of-funnel activity: prospecting, outreach, qualifying, nurturing and pipeline building. The SDR helps drive the sales engine by ensuring a steady flow of well-qualified opportunities for the sales team.

You will be part of a global inside sales team as well as working closely with your US outside sales colleagues. The role is an excellent opportunity for future career growth in Inside Sales / Account Executive positions.

IDT is a fast-growing business unit within HID (a division of ASSA ABLOY), offering a broad portfolio of contactless identification and sensing technologies, including RFID, NFC, and BLE. These technologies facilitate identification, data collection, and asset management across various IoT applications. More specifically, IDT provides smart credentials (such as RFID tags and smart cards), readers, and services to enable secure and efficient tracking of activities and assets.

As

our Sales Development Representative, you’ll support HID’s success by:
  • Prospecting for new potential customers using various channels; email campaigns, social media, research, referrals.
  • Scheduling meetings or demos for Account Executives with qualified leads
  • Owning the lead management process, from initial contact to qualification and nurturing, ensuring a smooth transition to the appropriate teams for closing
  • Researching and qualifying leads to grow the IDT sales pipeline
  • Creating and maintaining a database of prospective clients.
  • Serving as a champion of IDT products and services, providing sales support across all IDT sales channels.
  • Collaborating with marketing and the rest of the Sales team to refine messaging, campaigns, and strategies
  • Maintaining professional and effective communication with customers and internal sales teams via phone and email, documenting all activities in CRM tools.
  • Planning and conducting presentations of IDT solutions to customers via phone, online tools, and email.
  • Occasionally accompanying the sales team on visits to trade shows.
  • Submitting monthly reports in a timely manner as required by management.
  • Improving sales skills through trainings to enhance sales success rates.
Your Experience and Background include:
  • Degree in Sales or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in inside sales, lead management, sales development, sales assistant or similar.
  • Proven experience in Sales or Business Development, Inside Sales, customer support, or a related field.
  • Self-starter with a relentless drive for growth and achievement
  • Customer-oriented with a strong focus on providing high customer value and service.
  • Working knowledge of the technical characteristics of IDT products.
  • Ability to take initiative, stay well-organized, and manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
