Working Hours: Non-Exempt, Full Time, 37.5 hours per week (includes weekends)
Pay Rate: $17.50 - $18.70 per hour
- Your role will combine security, safety, and visitor service.
- Help keep visitors, staff, volunteers, students, and collections safe
- Respond calmly and quickly to emergencies and safety concerns
- Protect restricted areas and help prevent theft or unauthorized activity
- Help create a welcoming, professional, and inclusive visitor experience
- Clearly document incidents and communicate important information
- Work with Security, Facilities, and other Museum teams
You don't have to be a career security professional to appreciate this opportunity. We are looking for someone who is observant, dependable, professional, and comfortable working with people.
Minimum Qualifications:- High school diploma or GED
- Valid New York State Security Guard License
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Security or law enforcement experience
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Good judgment and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
