Electrician

Position Overview

The Part-Time Electrician will be responsible for performing electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in accordance with local and national electrical codes. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while providing excellent customer service.

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, outlets, switches, and fixtures.

• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform effective, code-compliant repairs.

• Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical systems.

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical schematics.

• Ensure all work meets NEC, local building codes, and company standards.

• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.

• Valid New York State electrician license or equivalent field experience.

• Proven experience in commercial electrical work.

• Strong understanding of NEC and Rochester-area code requirements.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with electrical work.

• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.

• Part‑time hours (flexible scheduling; typically 15–25 hours per week).
