Salary: Range $21 to $22/hr
General DescriptionUnder immediate supervision of the Employment Services Manager, the Intake Assessment Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of the client intake process including determination of program eligibility, scheduling appointments, collecting client information during intake interviews, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with clients, Case Managers, Job Counselors and external stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Eligibility Determination
- Assess client’s eligibility for refugee employment services
- Keep accurate records of assessment/eligibility forms
- Conduct Client Intake Appointments
- Receive referrals from Case Managers, Employment Team and clients who are interested in enrolling in any employment services programs.
- Schedule intake appointments and schedule interpreters when necessary;
Also, make reminder phone calls to clients and interpreters. - Conduct a thorough intake on clients, retrieving all the information necessary for applications and any additional information needed for the Employment Team.
- Copy all necessary documentation and complete all intake forms in need of client signatures.
- Coordinate with community partner in referring clients to ESL classes if necessary (track client attendance).
- Coordinates and Facilitates Monroe County Department of Human Services (MCDHS) Employment Assessments
- Use the MCDHS employment development plan (EDP) and the MCDHS database system to conduct employment assessments for those refugee public benefit applicants referred by MCDHS.
- Data Entry
- Enter all client data into the required database systems prior to transferring the case to the Job Counselor.
- Document the intake appointment by entering a progress note in the database.
- Track and document client job activities and notify MCDHS of non-compliance.
- Case File Review
- Oversee effective maintenance of case files and documents per funder and contractual requirements.
- Conduct regular case file review on employment services files.
- Communicate with employment team members regarding missing documents or identifications required in file.
- Report trends in case file errors to Employment Services Manager.
- Coordinate with Employment Staff
- Supply reports to Employment Services Manager when requested.
- Provide the employment team members with any information pertinent to client cases.
- Attend all mandatory agency and department meetings.
- Attend regular supervision with Program Manager.
- Works with business community to identify, develop, maintain and fill job opportunities for clients.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of local business climate and job markets.
- Determines employer requirements/expectations.
- Responsible for special employment events including job fairs, employer forums, job clubs and on-site recruitment
- Follows up with the Employers and community Job Counselors on a regular basis to match clients to job openings.
- Help prepare and connect clients to job opportunities
- Develops a working knowledge of clients to be placed.
- Assist participants in developing the necessary tools to effectively organize and conduct a job search
- Conduct employment preparation (E-PREP) through facilitating Job Readiness Training workshops, and facilitating classes as needed.
- Assists in resume writing, employment application process and schedules client appointments with employers.
- Provides individual job coaching support as needed.
- Promotes employment retention.
- As needed, provide ongoing evaluation and support of the employer/participant relationship.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.

Education:
