The Sr. Specialist, Software Engineer, designs, develops and extensively tests complex engineering solutions for advanced tactical radio operating system and waveform software. This position will require participation in all phases of the software development life cycle, while operating independently and guiding junior engineers.

• Proficient with embedded C/C++, object‑oriented design, real‑time, multi‑threaded programming
• Experience with real‑time operating systems (e.g. VxWorks RTOS, Linux, QNX)
• Ability to quickly analyze and understand large and complex existing software systems
• Ability to develop software test procedures, software programs, and related documentation
• Ability to identify, track, and repair software defects
• Work effectively in a multi‑disciplinary team environment
• Convey information and ideas clearly and succinctly
• Must obtain a U.S. security clearance

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 12 years of prior related experience in Software Engineering.

• Experience with Git/Bitbucket
• Experience with continuous integration (e.g., Jenkins)
• Experience with Agile methodology
• Experience with wireless networking software system design and development
• Familiarity with RF concepts and technology

Compensation Range: $83,000 – $154,000 (not a guarantee; final offer may vary based on experience and location).
