Software Engineer/Developer (m/f/d)

TOPTICA Photonics, Inc. is the North American subsidiary of TOPTICA Photonics, SE, a global manufacturer of high-performance laser systems used in demanding applications in science and industry. We are seeking a qualified Software Developer to work with cross-functional teams across a wide range of projects. This role will interface with nearly all functions of the company including R&D, Operations, Accounting, and Sales and Marketing.

This position will challenge candidates with tasks in product and controls software, automation, business and finance analytics.

• Software development for wide-ranging needs across our manufacturing organization
• Develop and maintain company dashboards for KPI tracking
• Consistent code documentation and control
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to define scope of projects
• Delivery and maintenance of software systems

• Software development experience
• Experience with customer-facing software interfaces (Front end)
• Strong Python skills
• Code maintenance and version control

• Instrument interfacing and communication
• Interfacing electronics and systems
• Motion control and automation
• FPGA and embedded systems development
• Data mining for business analytics, Qlik Sense and/or Power BI familiarity

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or related technical field
• 2-3 years of relevant experience
