As part of Diligent Robotics' founding operations team, you will uphold the highest standards for safe clinical use of robots in real‑world hospital environments. Through excellent communication and documentation, you will work alongside the hospital staff and our engineering team while assisting a cutting‑edge fleet of robots. As part of the founding team, you will help design and implement processes as the organization scales.
Clinical Robot Associates will solve unexpected situations that might arise during a shift, and work effectively as a team to ensure exceptional results for our hospital partners.
- Part‑time, entry‑level role with 3 afternoon 8‑hour shifts per week (5 am‑1 pm or 1‑9 pm ET shifts available)
- Position located in Rochester, NY – you must be local to be considered
- Pay: $20/hr
- Not an engineering position—no background in robotics or engineering required
- Ideal for outstanding customer‑service representatives who thrive in fast‑paced environments
- Monitoring and safely assisting mobile service robots in a hospital environment
- Collecting data and troubleshooting in a variety of real‑world situations while providing detailed and accurate feedback to our engineers
- Prioritizing the customer experience, ensuring their expectations are always met or exceeded
- Communicating with hospital staff and, occasionally, the public regarding robot operation
- High school graduate or GED
- Customer‑service oriented: friendly, skilled in de‑escalation, and able to juggle customer demands and company needs
- Excellent written and verbal communicator: conveys information to internal stakeholders via phone and direct messenger
- Organized: can juggle and progress on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Self‑sufficient: gets things done, learns what you don’t know, and can make quick independent decisions as circumstances require
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Willing and able to work varying shift times, including nights, weekends, and significant holidays
- Willing to obtain vendor credentials (immunizations, background check, drug screen, etc.)
- Extraverted: can strike up a conversation with anyone and is generally liked
- Responsive and responsible: commits to deadlines, over‑communicates, and manages remote team dynamics effectively
- Results‑oriented: comfortable observing and noting end‑users interacting with the robot all day
- Passionate about healthcare and technology working together to help people
- Formerly employed in healthcare: understands hospital vernacular, structure, and processes
- Passionate and clear‑eyed about robots: understands the gap between tech reality and media expectations and is excited to move the industry forward
