Harris is seeking an experienced and highly motivated embedded software engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded software development and experience with digital signal processing (DSP). This position involves design, implementation, verification and troubleshooting of real‑time embedded software and signal processing algorithms.

• Work closely with an Agile team of experienced software engineers on projects that involve the development and analysis of innovative real‑time signal processing solutions.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in DSP technology and apply new techniques and methodologies.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of DSP solutions and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

• Knowledge of real‑time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded systems design.
• Development experience with the Linux OS.
• Proficiency with C++ and C programming languages.
• Proficiency with multi‑threaded, multi‑core, and real‑time operating systems.
• Experience with object‑oriented software development.
• Understanding of design, implementation, integration and testing of large software systems.
• Experience with embedded software emulators/debuggers.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross‑functional team including hardware, software, and systems engineers.
• Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience;
  Graduate Degree and minimum 2 years of prior related experience; or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience in Embedded Software or DSP.

• Experience designing, developing, and implementing DSP algorithms.
• Experience simulating and analyzing DSP algorithms.
• Experience optimizing software for performance, power consumption, and memory usage on various hardware platforms.
• Experience using test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
• Experience with radio communications including waveforms, modulations, coding schemes and digital signaling.
• Experience with communications security (COMSEC) and transmission security (TRANSEC) concepts and algorithms.
• Experience with software development using artificial intelligence.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $83,000 – $154,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary; final offer may vary based on experience and geographic location. L3
