Associate Athletics Director, Marketing & External Operations
Rochester Institute of Technology invites applications for the Associate Athletics Director, Marketing & External Operations. The successful candidate will promote and enhance the image of the RIT Center for Intercollegiate Athletics, increase visibility across local, regional, state, and national platforms, and drive revenue‑generation and fan engagement initiatives.

The associate athletics director joins an exceptional staff dedicated to fostering the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional growth of student‑athletes.
Job Responsibilities- Manage the Corporate Partnership Program in partnership with the Executive Director of Athletics.
- Serve as the primary coordinator for all athletic special events (e.g., Sports Hall of Fame, Tiger Open Golf Tournament, Athletics Award Banquet, Midnight Madness, Welcome Back Meeting) and mascot reservations.
- Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive strategic marketing campaigns and promotional plans for all home athletic events to increase revenue, ticket sales, and attendance.
- Coordinate marketing photo and video shoots and produce promotional materials (commercials, posters, schedule cards, flyers, digital content).
- Execute and manage all community marketing plans, creative collateral, in‑game and in‑market activations, and other promotional items.
- Work with internal and external partners to execute digital and traditional advertising campaigns that boost event attendance and engagement.
- Serve as liaison to the RIT Sports Network for all web streams and events.
- Create a comprehensive campus outreach plan to increase visibility and attendance at athletic events.
- Manage the annual budget for the Center for Intercollegiate Athletics and coordinate Tiger Den events with campus life.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and manage student employees and interns; compile season wrap‑ups for sports including attendance analysis and promotion details.
- Assist with event management and serve as a game administrator for all home events.
- Act as sports administrator for 3–4 varsity sport programs, overseeing annual performance evaluations and meeting the guidelines of the university and conference.
- Represent the athletic department with university arenas staff regarding the hockey team’s marketing and promotional needs.
- Participate on committees and in professional development activities as appropriate.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Executive Director of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in athletic marketing, development/fundraising, or athletic administration leadership.

- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ability to foster relationships with internal staff and student‑athletes.

- Commitment to student‑athlete welfare and mental and physical well‑being.
- Administratively self‑sufficient with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and web applications.
- Willingness to engage in learning opportunities regarding Deaf Culture and conversational American Sign Language (ASL).
