Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
The Warehouse & Facilities Associate will support the operations of the organization focusing on excellent internal and external customer service. A successful Associate will have attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and a high level of accuracy.
Responsibilities- Receive, inspect, sign for incoming shipments, and report discrepancies or damages to the appropriate person.
- Pick, pack items for shipments correctly according to customer orders and instructions.
- Stock materials and supplies accurately within the warehouse according to part number and description.
- Complete inventory of laboratory and office supplies daily and restock as needed.
- Conduct periodic physical inventories and cycle counts of warehouse materials.
- Check outbound packages for accuracy.
- Maintain shipping and receiving documentation in a neat and orderly manner.
- Deliver packages that are received in a timely manner and to the appropriate department.
- Maintain the warehouse and receiving area in a safe and organized manner according to OSHA guidelines.
- Perform facilities support including daily inspections of light bulbs and changing bulbs as needed, mopping, filling up soap dispensers, replacing ceiling tiles as needed, room set-up and clean-up.
- Must be able to climb a ladder.
- May be required to attend work specific training in the areas of shipping, receiving and OSHA.
- 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse role using warehouse equipment, shipping equipment.
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs.
- Excellence in Customer Service.
- Proficient in Warehouse Management computer systems and shipping systems such as Fed Ex and UPS.
- Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and use time management effectively.
- Efficient math and reading skills to complete inventory and accurately package sales orders.
- Customer Service and inventory experience.
- OSHA and Haz Mat training a plus.
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects;
Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
