SEND Learning Support Assistant - Rochford

Salary: £90 - £110 per day

Randstad Education is seeking a SEND Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in the heart of Rochford
.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to work in a school with a strong community spirit. You will be a vital part of a team dedicated to helping students with additional needs find their confidence and reach their full potential in a supportive, inclusive setting.

• Holistic Support: Provide 1:1 and small-group assistance to students with diverse needs, including ASD (Autism), ADHD, and Speech & Language difficulties.
• Bridge the Gap: Assist students in the classroom to ensure they can access the curriculum alongside their peers, adapting tasks where necessary.
• Social & Emotional Growth: Help students manage the transitions of the school day and develop the social skills needed for their teenage years.
• Collaborative Working: Work closely with the SENCO and class teachers to implement strategies outlined in student EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans).

• Compassion & Patience: A genuine desire to support young people with barriers to learning.
• Adaptability: The ability to remain calm and positive when faced with the varying challenges of a school day.
• Experience: Previous experience in education, care, or support work is beneficial, but we also welcome graduates with a passion for SEND.
• DBS: Enhanced DBS on the update service (or a willingness to process a new one).
• Transport: Rochford is well-served by its own train station (C2C line) and has excellent local bus links from Southend and Rayleigh.

• Competitive Pay: £90 - £110 per day, paid weekly.
