We are currently seeking a Full‑Time Class A Driver at our Rock Falls, IL Terminal.

Drive a tractor‑trailer between customer locations to deliver and pick up freight.

• Drive a commercial vehicle safely while picking up and delivering general freight.
• Drive a commercial vehicle safely while transporting freight between terminals.
• Load and unload the trailer, either individually or with assistance of dockworkers. Mechanized freight handling equipment may be used where available and appropriate.
• Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of freight.
• Secure freight using strapping or other methods.
• Inspect the vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions as required by law and company policy.
• Comply with all Federal requirements regarding the transportation of hazardous materials.
• Drive tractor‑trailer in all conditions in accordance with Federal regulations, normally within the hours of service limitations, followed by an off‑duty period as required by regulatory requirements.
• Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations, including driver’s logs and other records required by law.
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all Federal, State, and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.

• Minimum age of 23.
• Minimum of 1 year of verifiable tractor‑trailer experience.
• Drive training road test administered by Dohrn Transfer Driver Trainer.
• Hazardous Material and Tanker endorsements on current valid driver’s license issued by resident state.
• Only one valid CDL issued by resident state; recent out‑of‑state transfers must provide former license or verification.
• No record of DUI/OWI or reckless driving conviction within the previous 5 years.
• Maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Pass a Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). examination and functional screen.
• Consent to a pre‑employment drug screen. Dohrn Transfer must receive a negative result.
• Receive a negative controlled substances and alcohol result from prior employer(s) for the past three‑year period. No prior evidence of controlled substance use.
• No instance of refusal to submit to an alcohol or controlled substance test within the past three‑year period.
• Consent to a 10‑year work history check. Gaps of 30 days or more must be listed and explained.
• Ability to read and write English and perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Will accept at‑will employment terms with Dohrn Transfer.

• Gripping of various sizes and weights up to 100 pounds.
• Lifting up to 100 pounds from ground level up to 45 inches; lifting at waist level or 36 inches.
• Front carry up to 100 pounds for 250 feet.
• Push/pull up to 60 pounds of horizontal force.
• Sitting up to 10 hours per day.
• Standing and walking frequently.
• Climbing, squatting, crouching, balancing, or kneeling occasionally.
• Crawling rarely.
• Reaching frequently while shifting gears, moving freight, loading and unloading trailers, and turning the steering wheel.
• Grasping and handling frequently while loading/unloading freight and operating trailer equipment.
• Critical to communicate with coworkers and customers to safely perform essential job functions.
• Vision used constantly during driving, reading maps, and inspecting trucks.
• Smell used occasionally to check for leaks.
• Hearing used frequently to listen for unusual sounds or warning sounds of vehicle problems.
• May be exposed to extreme temperatures, humidity, or wetness.
• May be exposed to dust, gas, fumes, or chemicals.
