Responsibilities- Provide planning, design, and construction oversight for DOT, municipal, and private clients in transportation and civil engineering, including roadway drainage, culvert and bridge hydraulics, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, green infrastructure, and ESD/LID.
- Complete hydrologic and hydraulic computations, reports, and modeling (drainage improvement, watershed evaluation, floodplain modeling).
- Design and prepare construction drawings for water resources projects, including drainage, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and bridge and culvert replacement.
- Use Microsoft Office, Micro Station, Geopak Drainage, and HEC‑RAS.
- Coordinate design development and assist with technical direction of junior staff.
- Assist in developing multiple projects and deliverables, including plans, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates, within schedule and budget.
- Perform conventional engineering calculations, interpret drawings and specifications, and assist with proposal preparation.
- Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, understanding water resources and civil engineering principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field;
Master’s degree preferred. - Minimum 10 years of relevant experience; 6 years of water resources experience preferred.
- Experience in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring engineering projects.
- Proven project management experience with a track record of successful delivery.
- Strong organizational, time‑management, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of construction management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
- Pre‑employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
