What You Will Do
- Lead the review of customer purchase orders and contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition under ASC 606, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain and update Standalone Selling Price (SSP) models to allocate revenue accurately across multiple performance obligations.
- Manage accounting for complex multi-element arrangements, conducting research on transaction histories and advising on ASC 606 application.
- Prepare and analyze detailed revenue reports, including variance analysis, revenue trends, and product line insights, to support decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with sales, sales operations, order management, and legal teams to evaluate contracts and assess revenue implications.
- Design, implement, and maintain internal controls over revenue processes to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation, participating in walkthroughs, and explaining revenue recognition policies.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline and enhance revenue accounting functions.
- 3–5 years of experience in public accounting or in a public company revenue accounting role, with expertise in ASC 606, SSP models, and multi-element arrangements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline; CPA or CPA-eligible (CIA a plus).
- Proficiency with Oracle EBS, Oracle RMCS, Agile, Oracle Noetix, , and Hyperion Financial Management systems preferred.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with the ability to analyze complex data and present findings effectively.
- Strong collaboration mindset with proven ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Adept at solving complex and unusual accounting issues with sound judgment and attention to detail.
- Highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
