Speech Therapist PRN Days – Piedmont Medical Center
Speech Therapist PRN Days role supports providing optimal speech-language pathology services, including evaluations, treatment, planning, patient/family education and discharge planning for patients with disorders of communication, swallowing and cognition referred by Licensed Independent Practitioner. The therapist participates in department and program development and operations. All assessment and treatment media, approaches and techniques will be appropriate and specific to the population served, including general rehabilitation services to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations, treatment, and discharge planning.
- Develop and implement evidence-based plans of care tailored to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
- Educate patients and families about conditions, progress, and post-discharge strategies.
- Participate in department and program development and daily operations.
- Minimum Education: Master’s degree in speech-language pathology.
- Minimum Experience: 1 to 5 years preferred; ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
- Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: Current licensure in South Carolina and Certification of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
