- Accurately check patient’s blood sugar and document results as ordered.
- Obtain vital signs appropriate for the patient’s age and condition; report abnormalities immediately to the attending or charge nurse.
- Perform patient interventions within scope of practice and demonstrate age‑specific competence.
- Provide appropriate treatment during emergencies such as code situations and patient falls.
- Assist licensed staff and physicians as directed; perform sub‑professional duties including daily living assistance, equipment operation, and maintenance.
- Take and record vital signs and I/Os; coordinate with other hospital departments and act as unit receptionist when needed.
- Transcribe orders accurately and perform related duties as required.
- Remain willing to float to comparable nursing units as needed.
Up to $2,500 Sign‑on Bonus based on eligibility.
Qualifications- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of CNA course required.
- Experience:
- Previous work experience in a patient care role can satisfy the educational requirement.
- Licensure/Certification:
- CNA certification within 6 months of employment, and/or completion of Nursing Fundamentals with intent to complete a nursing degree.
- American Heart Association BLS CPR certification required, obtained within 7 days of hire.
- CPI certification required during orientation.
