- Deliver emergency medical care at the basic or advanced life support level in accordance with department protocols and policies and York County requirements to optimize EMS response.
- Maintain safety, optimize clinical care and deliver exceptional professionalism and customer service to everyone.
- Perform routine duties in connection with daily operations, requiring detailed multi-tasking, timely documentation, and driving specially equipped emergency vehicles with high competence in technology and software.
- Apply principles of prospective, concurrent, and retrospective quality review and feedback.
- Perform related duties as required.
Required:
- Education:
High school diploma or GED. - Licensure/Certification:
South Carolina Paramedic certification required. Additionally: nationally registered Paramedic certification within one year; AHA BLS within 7 days; AHA ACLS, PALS or PEPP within orientation; NIMS (Incident Command/Incident Management) within orientation; NIMS levels 100, 200, 700, 800 within orientation. - Valid driver’s license.
Preferred:
- Education:
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college, technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Experience:
At least two years full‑time experience as a 911 EMS provider.
