Key Responsibilities
- Set up CNC turning machines, including DMG MORI and similar equipment, with the appropriate tooling, fixtures, and raw materials to begin production.
- Load and verify programs, offsets, and machine settings prior to production runs.
- Monitor machining operations and inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
- Perform tool changes, adjust machine parameters, and make offset corrections to maintain quality and productivity.
- Troubleshoot machine alarms, tooling issues, and production problems to minimize downtime.
- Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to verify dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, scrap rates, tool usage, machine downtime, and preventative maintenance activities.
- Assist with routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company safety policies.
- Collaborate with supervisors, programmers, quality personnel, and team members to improve machining efficiency and production performance.
