Cook (Part Time)

Compass Healthcare is hiring a part‑time Cook to work at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Location:

222 South Herlong Avenue, Rock Hill, SC 29732. Online applications only.

Schedule:

Part‑time; days and hours may vary, including rotating weekends and occasional morning shifts. Schedule details will be discussed during the interview.

Pay Range: $16.50 to $18.00 per hour.

Requirements:
Prior cooking experience required; willingness to receive training.

Prepares food following federal, state, and corporate standards and guidelines, ensuring quality and safety at all times.

• Prepare high‑quality food items according to standardized recipes and schedules.
• Serve meals or prepare for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, presentation, and taste.
• Use ticket collection procedures and record keeping during service periods.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, refrigerators, and storerooms.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assist in production planning, record keeping, reporting, ordering, and receiving of food and supplies.
• Report maintenance issues, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Attend in‑service and safety meetings.
• Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
• Carry out duties safely, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards.
• Commit personally to safety for self and others.
• Comply with all company policies, including use of protective gloves, mitts, and slip‑resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
