Overview
We are hiring immediately for full time and part time BAKER positions.
Location:
Winthrop University, 701 Oakland Avenue, Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Schedule:
Full time and part time; days and hours may vary. Day shifts. More details upon interview. Pay Range: $13.00 to $14.00 per hour.
- Prepares baked goods according to recipes and production specifications.
- Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets; assist in production planning to meet daily requirements.
- Ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes, following prescribed production standards and use of proper equipment.
- Assist with the completion of production records, including waste tracking, used/unused portions and product shortages; inform supervisor when supplies are low.
- Ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
- Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils within the work area.
- Handle food items appropriately and with all safety regulations in mind during preparation and service.
- Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments. Keep display equipment clean and free of debris.
- Interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly, customer-service oriented manner; relay relevant concerns to supervisors.
- Keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently.
- Check that all food is presented, served, and displayed per standards.
- Follow sanitation and safety principles in handling food and equipment; comply with corporate and OSHA safety standards.
- Complete shift work, as assigned, in a timely and thorough manner according to department standards.

Any such periods may be unpaid and deemed a temporary layoff. Depending on business needs, you may be required to work year-round, potentially at a different location during break periods.
