We are hiring immediately for full time and part time PLUMBER APPRENTICE positions.

• Requirement:
  No prior experience is required.
• Pay Range: $24.00 per hour to $28.00 per hour.

The Plumber Apprentice performs a variety of plumbing maintenance duties for the facility’s Maintenance Department, and is assigned to work for a Plumber Senior Technician on a regular basis. The apprentice is in an apprentice program guided by his project manager, mentor, supervisor and apprentice advisory training committee.

• Identify the location of leaks and make repairs.
• Repair or replace parts.
• Determine the equipment, tools or materials needed for tasks.
• Resolve simple plumbing problems.
• Maintain OJT logs, perform rounds, and complete maintenance work orders, tests, and inspections.
• Maintain facility and campus grounds, shops, and mechanical areas in a clean and safe manner.
• Attend classroom sessions at a minimum of 144 hours per year.
• Learn and utilize the site CMMS.
• Update work statuses and document tasks completed in the CMMS using a mobile device in real time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be registered in a Plumber Apprentice Program with USDOL.
• Must have rudimentary ability to utilize hand‑operated construction equipment.
• Must be able to repeatedly lift 50 pounds and kneel/bend/stoop and perform strenuous labor for extended periods of time.

• Some exposure to elevated heat, noise, dust, dirt, and/or areas requiring infection control. Must meet deadlines for completion of work on a daily basis. Must be able to work all hours, including weekends and nights, when necessary.
