Requirement: five years of prior plumbing experience required. Prior commercial plumbing experience preferred.
Pay range: $24.00 per hour to $27.00 per hour.

job summaryThe licensed master plumber holds the license that all other technicians in that trade will work under. The role ensures that all work is performed according to all applicable laws, federal, state and local regulations. In addition, the role may supervise and lead a group of workers on a project, teach advanced maintenance skills to other members of the department, review work of outside vendors and licensed maintenance workers, and report and repair discrepancies as assigned.
essentialduties and responsibilities
- Perform a variety of duties in overseeing the maintenance, repair/replacement, operation and renovation of equipment and facilities in the plumbing trade.
- Make decisions on all normal and complex repairs and report major problems to or consult with the operations manager and upper management as appropriate.
- Read and understand blueprints, specifications, or models to learn work layout, or plan own work layout, making routine computations as needed.
- Review outside vendor projects and make punch lists.
- Analyze and correct complex building system problems, alone or as part of a team.
- Maintain the systems, equipment, and facilities in a clean safe operating condition in accordance with local, state and federal regulations as they relate to the plumbing trade.
- Determine manpower, material needs, and deadlines for jobs or projects.
- Maintain logs, perform rounds, and make recommendations for modification or improvement of preventive maintenance systems.
- Learn and utilize the site cmms. Update work statuses and document tasks completed in the cmms utilizing a mobile device in real time.
- Contribute to a safe work environment by quickly reporting accidents and unsafe working conditions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent, eight years of training and work experience, including four years in a DOL accredited apprentice program plus four years working as a journeyman plumber.
- Must have a valid master’s plumbing license as well as proof of a valid rmp endorsement.
- Must possess a valid class “c” driver’s license.
- Rudimentary ability to utilize hand-operated construction equipment.
- Ability to repeatedly lift fifty pounds and kneel/bend/stoop and perform strenuous labor for extended periods of time.
