Riverwalk Academy – Volleyball Head Coach

Riverwalk Academy, a charter school in Rock Hill, South Carolina, isnow accepting applications for the position of Head Volleyball Coach for the 2026 season.

Riverwalk Athletics provides opportunities for students to participate in sports while upholding the principles of leadership, teamwork, and fair play. Our goal is to nurture athletes who are committed to personal and academic excellence.

• Organize and lead practices, ensuring alignment with Riverwalk’s core values.
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and events, maintaining discipline and promoting teamwork.
• Develop training programs focusing on both skill development and character building.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and the Athletic Director regarding schedules, policies, and expectations.
• Maintain athlete eligibility documentation and monitor academic progress.
• Attend all required meetings, including rules meetings mandated by the South Carolina High School League (SCHSL).
• Implement safety procedures and provide first aid during athletic events.
• Collaborate with the Athletic Director to manage equipment, schedule games, and organize fundraising efforts.

• Proven experience as a volleyball coach or assistant coach.
• Strong understanding of volleyball rules, strategies, and training techniques.
• Knowledge of SCHSL rules and regulations.
• CPR/AED certification and completion of NFHS courses (Concussion, Heat Illness, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, etc.).
• Strong communication skills and ability to inspire athletes to reach their full potential.
• Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to the broader mission of Riverwalk Academy.
