Position SummaryA Senior Engineer I (Electrical or Controls) or Senior Engineer II (Electrical or Controls) will lead the delivery of energy‑efficient and sustainable solutions for institutional, utility, and industrial clients. The role involves exercising engineering judgment and executing detail‑oriented electrical and/or controls design tasks in a consulting environment, while providing technical assistance, guidance, and quality control for junior staff.
Responsibilities- Lead a team of electrical and/or controls engineers on assigned projects.
- Serve as Engineer of Record for the electrical discipline.
- Oversee and train junior staff and designers.
- Collaborate with other engineers, planners, and infrastructure authorities.
- Support proposals and business development opportunities.
- Perform design and specification of power distribution systems, including one‑line diagrams, load flow calculations, and protection relay coordination.
- Prepare wiring diagrams and, where applicable, provide factory‑acceptance testing and construction/commissioning support.
- Engineering degree (four years or more) accredited by ABET in electrical engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Senior Engineer I: 5–8 years of experience.
- Senior Engineer II: 7–12 years of experience.
Well‑developed practical application of engineering science and technology, including the use of principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to execute design tasks.
Licensure- Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Examination.
- Passing the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) Examination.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in at least one state, having fulfilled all prerequisites and registrations.
OSHA 10‑Hour Certification.
