Management Support Specialist; Project Manager

• The duties listed below are at the full performance GS-12:
• Serve as Project Manager responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned projects.
• Coordinate the planning, design, cost engineering, construction, and environmental restoration, etc. for engineering projects of substantial scope and complexity.
• Control and manage project milestones and budgets from planning phases through final completion.
• Allocate project funds to district elements, consistent with scheduled work, and measures and monitors performance to assure commitments of all parties are being maintained.
• Serve as the district's primary point of contact for customer and other external agencies on assigned projects.
• Present status reports for assigned projects to include progress, issues, trends, etc.
• Implement corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policy in the development of the project and intermediate products (e. g. feasibility reports, and design memorandum) in support of the program.
• Review project progress, measuring performance taking necessary corrective actions to maintain agreed upon schedule and cost.

Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes:
Managing multiple projects which require planning, scope, development, design, and construction; knowledge of management concepts and principles for cost estimating, engineering, and construction; participating in developing and negotiating with contributing agencies/organizations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
