Incoming Production Support

Rock Island Auction Company (RIAC), the #1 firearms auction house in the world, is seeking an Incoming Production Support to handle high‑value inventory. The role involves data entry, safety, and logistics.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CST.
Hourly pay: $19.50.

• Receive and process tens of thousands of firearms, bladed weapons, and historical collectibles annually for consignment.
• Safely unpack, move, and verify inventory, ensuring firearms are unloaded.
• Enter items into the database accurately, tag inventory, and verify customer information.
• Complete forms and logs per company and customer guidelines.
• Organize and move inventory within the department and to other areas as needed.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Hands‑on experience with inventory organization preferred.
• Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to obtain and maintain active FOID card status (Illinois only).
• Willingness to work six auction weekends per year.

Must routinely move and transport up to 50 pounds, work for prolonged periods, frequently ascend or descend positions, and operate computer equipment. Must consistently communicate, inspect, detect, and assess operational items. Must work with firearms, bladed weapons, militaria, historic relics, and valuable collectibles.
