This position reports to our Sales Manager and is located at our Rock Island or Chicago, IL region.
What You’ll Do- Own your territory:
Partner with the a rea Sales Manager to develop and execute a bold sales and marketing strategy that captures new customers and expands our footprint across established and emerging industries. - Be the hunter:
Proactively identify key decision-makers, open new doors, and execute creative go-to-market strategies that capture market share, drive profitability, and unlock untapped customer value. - Win business:
Utilize a proven sales process to spark conversations, build trust, and close deals that fuel growth. - Sell with solutions:
Collaborate with our expert internal teams—design, pricing, customer service, production, procurement, and logistics—to deliver custom packaging solutions that solve real challenges for our customers. - Set the standard for service:
Own the customer experience from first call to follow-up, ensuring expectations are exceeded. - Build for the long game:
Cultivate strong, lasting partnerships that create ongoing growth opportunities. - Stay ahead of the curve:
Track market, customer, and industry trends to position LDI as a leader and trusted advisor. - Lead with initiative:
Jump in where needed and bring fresh ideas that help drive our business forward.
- Education & Sales
Experience:
High school diploma / GED with 2+ years of proven sales success, or a Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field in lieu of experience. - New Business Expertise:
Demonstrated ability to plan, launch, and analyze aggressive sales strategies that capture new accounts and drive revenue growth. - Industry Knowledge (Preferred):
Experience in manufacturing or B2B environments is a plus, with a strong preference for candidates who have sold corrugated packaging solutions. - Prospecting Power:
Skilled at identifying and engaging new prospects, opening doors, and creating opportunities in untapped markets. - Communication & Influence:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to persuade, negotiate, and close deals at multiple levels of an organization. - Decision-Making & Problem-Solving:
Able to think strategically, make quick decisions, and turn challenges into opportunities. - Results-Driven:
Highly motivated by hitting and exceeding goals, with a strong sense of urgency and ownership of your sales pipeline. - Self-Starter:
Capable of working independently while managing priorities, deadlines, and long-term sales initiatives. - Travel Flexibility:
Willing and able to travel locally up to 75% of the time, with occasional extended trips to support business growth.
The earning potential for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 based on experience and book of business. This position is also eligible for mileage reimbursement. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to actual sales, education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location.
Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.
