Location: Rockford, Illinois (1 hour east of Chicago, 1 hour south of Madison & Milwaukee)

Montessori Private Academy is an AMS-accredited school serving Toddlers through 6th Grade
. We foster independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning through authentic Montessori education.

We are seeking a passionate AMS-certified Elementary 1 Montessori Teacher to guide students in grades 1–3. The ideal candidate creates a prepared Montessori environment, supports academic and social-emotional growth, and inspires student-centered learning.

• Prepare and maintain a Montessori classroom aligned with AMS standards
• Teach Language Arts, Math, and Cultural Studies (History, Geography, Science)
• Observe, assess, and document student progress using Montessori methods
• Support social-emotional development and independence
• Communicate regularly with families
  
  Collaborate with staff and participate in school events

• AMS Elementary I Certification required
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, or related field
• Montessori classroom experience preferred
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
• Passion for educating the whole child
