Job Description

Purpose of the Position: The teacher understands central concepts, methods of inquiry, and structures of disciplines and creates learning experiences that make the content meaningful to all students.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

  • Illinois Teaching License with appropriate endorsements and certifications.

Working Conditions

Moderate in-district travel and intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel. Intermittent prolonged and irregular hours of work.

Physical Requirements

Work includes various physical tasks such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger use, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions.

Levels range from Sedentary to Very Heavy work. Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception, and field of vision.

Work environment includes inside and outside conditions, extreme heat or cold, noise, and hazards such as moving mechanical parts, electrical current, chemicals.
