Adjunct - Computer Information Systems

Position Overview: The Computer Information Systems (CIS) Adjunct Faculty will be responsible for creating syllabi, planning class content, and utilizing RVC’s Learning Management System (EAGLE).

• Teach courses required in CIS degree programs
• Meet classes at assigned times
• Maintain accurate course records and submit reports as requested
• Assess student performance effectively
• Create a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Use diverse strategies such as small group work and workshops to facilitate learning
• Incorporate new technologies and methods into teaching
• Support the department and college through other faculty duties
• Maintain office hours convenient for students
• Instruct students in proper use of lab equipment where appropriate

Bachelor’s Degree in CIS or a related field, or relevant business experience. Prior teaching experience at a community college is preferred but not required. Knowledge should include:

• Microsoft Office 2019 (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
• Basic concepts of hardware, software, networking, web design, and cybersecurity
