Functional supervision may be exercised over faculty and staff for assigned areas
Under the direction of the Dean of Career and Technical Education, provide support in project planning, implementation, and operational support. Responsible for establishing project goals and ensuring projects and initiatives are completed according to schedule. Fosters collaborative working relationships with internal and external counterparts to communicate and coordinate initiatives that support College and instructional goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Represent and promote implementation of the College’s core values and strategic initiatives.
- Work with assigned Dean to actively investigate and develop new programs and courses.
- Collaborate with Dean, faculty, and program coordinators in the exploration, analysis, development, and revision of curriculum.
- Collaborate with the Dean and the Director of Marketing to plan division-based marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Dean and faculty of CTE, as well as Workforce Development and Customized Training Departments to enhance pathways from non-credit to credit programs.
- Coordinate and assist with course scheduling, textbook adoptions, assessment, sequencing, syllabus development, program review, and dual credit in collaboration with faculty and program coordinators at the direction of the Dean of CTE.
- Develop and modify project plans that support student success at RVC, monitor student progress, and collaborate with Student Advisors and faculty as needed.
- Assist with departmental budgeting to enhance academic programs, including proposal development, procurement of supplies and equipment, and compliance with institutional policies and procedures.
- Assist with Career and Technical Education grant initiatives, including reporting, budgeting, pathway development, and staff coordination.
- Support assigned Dean and their Vice President in investigating and developing alternative funding sources, including grant proposals.
- Represent the College and division interests by participation with appropriate external committees and activities (local, regional, and national).
- Work collaboratively with Academic Affairs leadership, including participation in Academic Affairs professional development initiatives and planning councils.
- Ensure that procedures and actions taken are consistent with the faculty association’s Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Maintain documentation of meetings and project details.
- Prepare progress reports for each project to which you are assigned.
- Create progress presentations for senior management.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records, personnel files, and other sensitive information.
- Regular attendance is expected.
- Using tact and courtesy, the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with persons contacted in the course of work.

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in higher education, project management, workforce development, teaching, instructional design, or academic program coordination.
- Experience managing or supporting grant‑funded programs or budget oversight.
