Senior Product Cybersecurity Engineer (Hybrid)
Join Collins Aerospace as a Senior Product Cybersecurity Engineer to safeguard our advanced Electric Power Systems (EPS) for next‑gen airborne control systems. In this hybrid role you will lead security risk analysis, integrate cybersecurity functions, perform testing, and support compliance and certification efforts aligned with industry standards.
What You Will Do- Participate in the Power & Controls Product Security Board
- Drive development and implementation of Product Cybersecurity Risk Management for EPS programs
- Build and develop Product Security expertise across the organization
- Create and refine processes to meet internal and industry cybersecurity requirements
- Lead and support security risk assessments
- Oversee key technologies and standard security functionality development
- Define and apply security testing and analysis tools/methods
- Collaborate on lab, operations, and repair site security requirements
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and certification requirements
- Manage and interpret customer and certification cybersecurity requirements
- Lead incident response and resolution for EPS cybersecurity events
- Support development and integration of Collins-developed security technologies
- Evaluate and contribute to technical proposals
- Guide adherence to DO-326A/DO-356A Airworthiness Security processes
- Champion adoption of the Secure System Development Lifecycle (SSDLC)
- Degree in STEM or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with at least 7 years of experience
- Experience collaborating with system architects to incorporate new security technologies
- Proficiency in defense‑in‑depth principles and architectural solutions
- Analysis of system and application‑level security architectures
- Review of vulnerability assessments and mitigation definition
- Preparation and review of project bids and pursuits
- Familiarity with PKI for device certificate management
- Support of hardware/software Roots of Trust (RoT) development
- Embedded cryptographic solutions and secure communication systems design
- Knowledge of RTCA DO‑326A and DO‑356A standards
- Understanding of embedded control systems engineering
- Industry‑recognized security certifications such as Security+, OSCP, or CISSP (preferred)
- Preferred ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance

Hybrid – work regularly onsite and offsite in Rockford, IL. Ratio of onsite time will be determined in partnership with your leader.
