Automation Engineer | Rockford, MI Salary Range: $86,000 - $131,000 depending on experience

• Optimize existing manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and throughput through automation solutions.
• Lead and participate in automation projects from concept to commissioning, including scope definition and timeline management.
• Provide technical support and training to production and maintenance teams on automated systems.
• Ensure all automation solutions comply with safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens) and HMI/SCADA development.
• Strong understanding of industrial control systems, sensors, actuators, and robotics.
• Experience with industrial networking protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet).
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex automation equipment and processes.

• Proficiency with industrial machine vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence).
• Experience with manufacturing data analytics, OEE calculation, or reporting tools.
• Understanding of IT/OT convergence principles and industrial cybersecurity best practices.
• Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or ERP integration.
• Basic proficiency in CAD software for system layout or component design.
