Job Title: Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Job Description- Client is looking for a driven and technically-skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll take ownership of the complete lifecycle of critical mechanical equipment used in gas processing.
- From initial design and specification to commissioning and ongoing support, you'll ensure our systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. You will be a key player in multidisciplinary project teams, contributing your expertise to build and improve our state-of-the-art facilities. This position is a perfect fit for an engineer who enjoys both technical design and hands‑on project execution.
- Equipment Lifecycle Management :
Take full responsibility for the specification, selection, procurement, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical equipment, ensuring it meets project and process requirements. - Code Compliance :
Ensure all pressure vessel and piping designs, modifications, and repairs adhere to relevant industry standards, particularly ASME Section VIII, Division and ASME - Project Execution :
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (Process, Electrical, Controls) to design, install, and commission new equipment and systems safely and efficiently. - Technical Support :
Serve as a subject matter expert for key rotating equipment, providing engineering support for troubleshooting, maintenance strategies, and reliability improvements. - Project Engineering :
Assist in managing project scope, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery from concept to completion.
- HS Diploma and Engineering exp. required. At least a Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field plus years experience. Master's plus years
- years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or chemical processing environment.
- Working knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (Section VIII, Div. ) and Process Piping code (
- Demonstrated experience with industrial rotating equipment and mechanical systems.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate cross-functional teams
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven “hands‑on” mechanical and troubleshooting ability
- Experience in environmental sustainability industry such as biogas, renewable energy or waste treatment
- Working knowledge of commercial agreements and customer relations preferred.
- Ability to travel (up to %)
- Work in industrial environments
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Able to excel in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment, and has the strategic agility to adapt to changing priorities
- Direct design or operational experience with centrifugal blowers, oil-flooded screw compressors, and / or industrial mixers.
- Experience in project engineering or project management, including cost and schedule management.
- Familiarity with the gas processing, oil and gas, or chemical industries.
- Military technical training.
- Knowledge of industrial gases and pipeline safety is preferred.
