* ** Position Summary
** The Community Banking and Commercial Intern will provide assistance to the Commercial & CED Department with various recurring tasks as well as special projects.
** Primary Accountabilities
*** Support market and prospect development by researching prospective businesses, organizations, and centers of influence and helping build and prioritize a market prospect pipeline.
* Assist the Commercial team with prospect research, relationship preparation, market and industry insights, pipeline reporting, and analysis to support opportunity identification and follow-up.
* Support CRA-eligible community development activities, including research, reporting, documentation, and community volunteering.
* Assist with Foundation and sponsorship activities, including research, impact tracking, event support, community partnership opportunities, and use of the Kadince platform.
* Help identify cross-line referral opportunities that may connect prospects and existing relationships with Retail, Treasury Management, Wealth, Mortgage, SBA, and other bank solutions.
* Participate in team and client meetings, community events, and job-shadowing opportunities across Community Banking, CRA/CED, Commercial Banking, and other business lines.
* Develop and present a capstone project highlighting market opportunities, prospecting insights, community impact, and recommendations for strengthening business development efforts in the Northern Region.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
* Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
