Overview
Directs all functions of the Pharmacy Operations for the assigned sites(s) in a collaborative fashion while overseeing the financial, operation and quality components of those pharmacy sites. Assists the director with development and implementation of policies and procedures, QA, and performance standards.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities
Supports the Director of Pharmacy in planning, developing, and implementing hospital pharmacy policies, procedures, and operations in accordance with organizational standards and all applicable regulatory and legal requirements.
Serves as a member of the system pharmacy leadership team, contributing to strategic planning, problem analysis, solution development, budgeting, and operational planning across pharmacy services.
Builds and maintains effective working relationships with medical staff and interdisciplinary hospital teams to promote collaboration, communication, and efficient pharmacy operations.
Collaborates with Information Systems to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of pharmacy-related technology, including pharmacy information systems, patient and departmental charging systems, and inventory management tools.
Participates in Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Safety, Information Systems, Patient Medication Safety, Nursing/Pharmacy, and other committees as assigned to support safe, effective, and compliant medication practices.
Oversees supervisory functions for assigned pharmacy staff, including recruitment, interviewing and selection, onboarding, performance management, staff development, promotions, compensation changes, corrective actions, terminations, and employee engagement initiatives.
Ensures pharmacy operations meet established productivity, budgetary, employee engagement, and patient outcome goals by monitoring performance metrics and adjusting operational plans as needed.
Demonstrates the ability to perform all duties of the Pharmacy Manager and provides coverage or support as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in pharmacy
Five years supervisory/management experience required
Certification and LicensurePharmacy License in Wisconsin & Illinois

SupervisesDirectly supervises site pharmacy managers and supervisors as assigned by director of pharmacy.
