MH Clinician – Outpatient Services

Provides mental health rehabilitation services to clients and families to reduce hospitalization and crisis episodes, and increase community functioning so clients can achieve rehabilitative, resiliency, and recovery goals. Offers continuity of program services in a safe, therapeutic environment in accordance with applicable regulations and accreditation standards. Participates as a team member to deliver mental health services and facilitate recovery in clients’ daily lives.

Up to $4,000.

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Addiction Studies or related field, or equivalent experience and training.
• Must qualify as a MHP or QMHP pursuant to Illinois Department of Mental Health Rule 132.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Computer proficiency required; ability to navigate and complete documentation in the electronic health record within prescribed time frames.
• Skilled in conducting individual, family, and group counseling.
• Ability to present and coordinate lectures for clients, parents, staff or community resources.
• Self‑starter who can work independently as well as within a team.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency insurance requirements (designated positions). Own transportation required for designated positions.

• Work prescribed hours and any additional hours required for duties.
• Motivate and problem‑solve with staff regarding effective clinical practices.
• Adapt verbal and written communication to clients and families.
• Complete documentation within appropriate time lines.
• Undertake primary case management responsibilities for assigned clients.
• Conduct individual, group, and family counseling, and educational sessions.
• Maintain client service records in compliance with rules and regulations.
• Communicate with all staff, including admissions, process, and discharge plans.
• Coordinate services from community resources.
• Utilize evidence‑based practices and treatment modalities.
• Present workshops, lectures, and training to clients, families, staff, and community groups.
• Participate in court proceedings and be available for court appearances on behalf of clients.
• Participate in on‑call rotation as required.
• Serve as a Clinical Team member in all team meetings and activities.
• Maintain confidentiality per the professional Code of Ethics and law.
• Deliver exceptional customer service consistently.
• Represent the agency with positive guest relations.
• Assume additional related responsibilities as delegated by management.

• Hours:
  
  Monday‑Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm.
• Shift: 1st shift.

Rosecrance Ware Center, Rockford, IL – Onsite.

Pay based on education, experience, and credentials.

• Starting Salary (Bachelor’s): $50,835.20 / year.
• Master’s (Qualified Mental Health Professional): $57,761.60 / year.
• Professional Certification (e.g., CADC, CRSS, CPS): +$0.72 / hr (≈$1,500 annual).
• 1st Level Clinical Licensure (e.g., LPC/LSW/LMSW): +$0.87 / hr (≈$1,800 annual).
• 2nd Level Clinical Licensure (e.g., LCPC/LCSW/LMHC): starting at +$2.16 / hr (≈$4,500 annual).
