Description of roleAt the Rock River Valley Blood Center, we provide a friendly and collaborative work environment where your technical lab skills will be put to use making a direct impact on patient lives. As part of our mission to deliver safe, high-value blood products, we are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team.
As a Clinical Lab Scientist, you play a critical role in ensuring the safety and quality of blood products.
Your responsibilities include performing anti‑body work ups, processing specimens, and conducting a variety of diagnostic tests with precision. You will report accurate test results, operate and maintain laboratory equipment, and monitor quality control procedures to ensure compliance with established standards. In addition, you will collaborate with other lab professionals to troubleshoot complex issues, interpret results and contribute to the overall mission of providing safe and reliable blood products.
Your attention to detail, strong analytical skills and commitment to quality will be key in making a meaningful impact on patient care!
Skills and Requirements- MLS/MT/CLS Certification required (or equivalent), along with a Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology.
- MLT candidates may be considered, provided they are actively pursuing MLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical laboratory experience in moderate to high complexity testing.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgment.
- A passion for ensuring the highest quality care for patients and contributing to the blood center's mission
We're looking for individuals interested in working full‑time (30+ hours per week) Monday – Thursday 12:30pm-8:30pm, Friday 9:00am-5:00pm and including Saturday and on‑call rotations.
Part‑time candidates may be considered based on availability. Please include your availability when applying.
