Pay: $22.64 - $32.83 /hour

We welcome you to apply for the Billing Specialist Research position, part of the Oncology Research program at UW-Health’s Carbone Cancer Center in Rockford. Successful candidates have experience working in a Research program’s Rev Cycle and have experience in Medicare Coverage Analysis forms, contract negotiation for potential trials (both pharmaceutical and non-industry trials), and performing audits over internal Research Rev Cycle processes.

Qualifications- Post-secondary education or certification in medical coding, business or health-related field. Required or
- Three (3) years of experience in medical billing may be considered in lieu of post-secondary education or certification in addition to the experience below. Required
- Bachelor's Degree in business or heath-related field. Preferred
- 1 year of coding or medical billing experience. Required
- Experience in an academic health system. Preferred
- Experience with Epic applications. Preferred
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent. Preferred
