HR Manager | Rockford, MI Salary Range

$80,000 - $125,000 depending on experience

• Manage full‑cycle recruitment and onboarding for production, technical, and administrative roles.
• Oversee employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws, including OSHA regulations.
• Administer compensation and benefits programs, including hourly wages and shift differentials.
• Develop and implement training programs focused on safety, technical skills, and leadership for manufacturing staff.
• Drive performance management processes to support operational efficiency and quality standards.
• Partner with plant leadership to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with manufacturing goals.

• Experience managing HR functions within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• In-depth knowledge of labor laws, OSHA regulations, and HR best practices specific to production facilities.
• Proven track record in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management in a plant setting.
• Experience with workforce planning, talent acquisition, and retention strategies for skilled labor and production roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM‑CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with safety programs and workers' compensation management within an industrial setting.

• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen) or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Previous experience in a unionized manufacturing environment, including labor relations or collective bargaining.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and industrial safety programs.
• Proficiency in a second language common in the local workforce (e.g., Spanish).
