Assistant Project Manager – High Voltage

Join William Charles Construction Company, LLC, a Mas Tec Company as an Assistant Project Manager – High Voltage.

Location & Travel:
The position is a traveling role encompassing work sites in the Midwest. Must be capable of up to 75% travel. Company vehicle and fuel card will be provided.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing scheduling of subcontractors on site
  • Receiving and checking quality of materials
  • Completing QA/QC checklists
  • Submittals (material approvals)
  • RFI’s (general questions)
  • Preparing official documents for the project, routing and finalizing
  • Preparing projects reports as needed
  • Back up documentation
  • Close‑outs final quantities
  • Proposing/ negotiation extra work
  • Special projects within the Project Management function as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned by the Project Management Department
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. preferred). A combination of education & experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 2 to 4 years of Medium/High Voltage substation and transmission line construction industry experience/knowledge of construction techniques, estimating and construction management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience with Project Management systems, such as Procore, Build2

    Win, MS Project and/or P6 and HCSS
  • Strong analytical skills. Comfortable with Microsoft processing tools including MS Word and Excel.
  • Ability to read and understand contracts.
  • Detail oriented, good organization skills.
  • Ability to communicate well with others, both written and orally.
  • Functional knowledge of job cost accounting.
  • Understanding of CPM scheduling.
  • Must be capable of up to 75% travel by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
