CNC Machinists
Position Summary:The CNC Machinist operates large CNC milling machines, fine-tuning speeds and feeds to meet required finishes and tolerances. Parts can weigh up to 80 tons and measure up to 30 meters in length.
Employment Type:Full Time – Hourly
Key Responsibilities:Read routings and blueprints to determine proper setup procedures.Operate large machines and fine-tune speeds and feeds to achieve desired finishes and tolerances.Set up work pieces on the table using an overhead crane and load pre-set tooling into tool chains.Make adjustments to complete machining operations.Verify the completion of machining using precision measuring instruments.Collaborate with supervision and engineering to correct drawing errors affecting quality and productivity.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Minimum 3 years of machining experience.Experience operating similar machinery.Ability to read routings and blueprints.Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).Ability to operate machines manually with correct speeds and feeds.Experience with drilling and tapping.Set-up experience.High School Diploma or GED.Ability to lift up to 60 lbs daily and potentially 100 lbs weekly.Location & Compensation:
- Rockford, IL
- Pay: $21 per hour
