American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a float pool position on night shifts requiring substantial cardiac expertise and a current IL RN license.

• Float pool position working across Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke Neuro, and Step-Down ICU units
• Work involves adult patient populations with cardiac, neurological, and general med-surg needs
• Night shift schedule of 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Position covers various modalities including Cardiac Progressive Care, ICU, Med-Surg, Ortho, Step Down, and Telemetry
• Floating is required between units as needed
• Responsible for delivering direct patient care, administering medications, and documenting according to standards of care
• Employs critical thinking and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members
• Develops and implements individualized plans of care for patients
• Contributes to performance improvement activities and may participate in shared governance
• Provides clinical expertise and guidance to other units in support of longitudinal patient care

• Active and currently valid IL RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience required
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
• Extensive cardiac nursing experience required
• COVID-19 vaccination required
