Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Room RN with an active IL license and required advanced certifications for mid and night shifts.
Responsibilities- Position is in a hospital emergency department setting
- Mid-shift and night-shift schedule with weekend and holiday rotation
- Patient population includes emergency and trauma cases
- Requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary care team
- Duties include administering medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and state law
- Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Collaborates with other units to support patient care continuity
- Participates in performance improvement activities, shared governance, and peer review
- Critical thinking skills required to escalate issues and ensure patient safety
- Holiday and weekend coverage is part of the schedule rotation
- Active Illinois RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent ER nursing experience
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS
- Must have current and active state licensure at the time of consideration
