Travel RN - Telemetry - Stepdown

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care Unit (IMC/PCU/Step Down) position requiring an active IL license and ACLS/NIHSS certification.

• Active IL RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS, plus NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification required
• COVID-19 vaccination required

• Work in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC/PCU/Step Down) of a hospital and trauma center
• 13-week assignment on night shift (7:00P - 7:30A)
• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per approved nursing standards and policies
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care including patient and family education
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units in support of patients' longitudinal care plans
• Apply critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and elevate concerns through the appropriate chain of command
